Surabaya
The travel between Surabaya and Jepara usually takes very long. Therefore this trip might not be for everyone. We work with a partner who owns mini-buses for six to twelve people. From Surabaya, the bus leaves around 22:00 – 23:00 and you will arrive in the harbor of Jepara around 05:00. The bus won’t take the paid highway as they want to keep the ticket for this travel affordable and the toll street is expensive. On the way back, the bus will be waiting in the harbor when you arrive by boat. After all the guests arrived the bus will leave for Surabaya. Depending on the evening rush, the bus usually takes eight hours but it can take longer.
Yogyakarta
The travel between Yogyakarta and Jepara is the most popular travel route and therefore there is almost always a bus driving. We work with a partner who owns mini-buses for six to twelve people. The bus from Yogyakarta leaves between 23:00 – 00:30 depending on where you get picked up. You will arrive in the harbor of Jepara early in the morning (04:00 – 05:00). On the way back, the bus will be waiting in the harbor when you arrive by boat. After all the guests arrived the bus will leave for Yogyakarta. Depending on the evening rush, the bus usually takes six hours.
private car
Besides boat tickets and shared transport, Basa-basi can also organize private transportation from and to Jepara. We generally organise cars to Surabaya, Bromo (Malang, Probolinggo, etc.), Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Borobudur, however, requests for other destinations are always possible. The prices below are per vehicle and hold a maximum of 6 people with small luggage. If the passengers travel with big luggage, the vehicle holds only 4 people. When you travel with a bigger group, we also offer transportation for 11 people, 15 people, and even groups of 30 people or more.
Prices include the driver, parking cost, and gasoline. Normally our drivers do not drive on the toll roads, if the passenger wishes to travel over these roads, the cost of the toll road is at the expense of the passenger and therefore not included in the rent price.
