KAYAK & SUP RENTAL
In Karimunjawa we have a handful of partners that offer kayak or sup rental. Depending on the coastline you want to discover, we can ask one of our partners for their availability.
Check out the rocky coastline and beaches to the southeast, paddle along the jungle beaches of the national park to the east, paddle along the mangroves and towards the islands close to the main island to the south-west or head west one of the paddleboards along the beaches, fish farms, mangrove, and juggle covered coastline.

Is an hour on the water not enough and you are looking for a real adventure? Go out with one of our guides on a kayak trip, set up a program, and discover the coastlines of Karimunjawa on a beautiful morning or afternoon.
During the kayak trip, you will go out on the water for a few hours, paddle past the coast, and visit one of the islands close by. No advanced skills are necessary, however, some basic fitness will help you if there is a strong current or heavy wind. After eating some lunch, enjoying some snacks or some refreshing coolers, paddle back from your little kayak expedition.

The providers rent out the kayak/board by the hour, some are flexible and will give it to you longer depending on the crowds. Of course, kayaking is at your own risk, in addition, the renter does not provide a life jacket including the rental price.

KAYAK TRIP EAST

Paddle around Legon Lele, towards the turtle sanctuary (we can even contact the national park rangers so you can release baby turtles, for an additional fee, on the beach), past the jungle covered coastlines and over the beautiful reaves. You could even bring a mask and snorkel and dive in when you pass a spot you can’t resist. Afterwards you can paddle around rock island towards Boby beach to buy some snacks, lunch, a fresh coconut or any other drink. After you enjoyed your well deserved break, paddle back to Legon Lele to enjoy the tranquility of the east at Floating Paradise. The total trip takes around two to four hours, depending on how long you prefer to go yourself.

Take the kayaks out and pass all the fish farms, the west harbor, towards the shallow waters west and south from Menjangan Besar. Cruise through the mangrove shallow waters and go all the way around towards the main harbor and the shores of the city center. Is this not long enough, you can also turn west towards Menjangan Kecil a bit further out for the real adventurer. Explore the coast of this beautiful island and jump in at one of the reefs to explore the coral clos to Karimunjawa. Stop at the beach at either Menjangan Besar or Kecil for a refreshment or lunch, on the way back you can stop at one of the many fish farms to take another jump in to the water, watch the sunset or just to check out Karimunjawa’s craftsmanship. The total trip takes around three to four hours, depending on how long you prefer to go yourself.
