Now, this is a first, a motorized kayak that will enable you to cruise over the most shallow of shallow waters around Karimunjawa. Enjoy moving around the mangrove-filled shores and over our beautiful reefs.
Only available at Basa-basi Karimunjawa, rentable as a water taxi to the beaches close by or for a tour a little further out. This kayak is originally built for the fishery, however, as many of our friends started to enjoy cruising around with us, we decided to start renting it out to guests. The kayak can hold up to 4 adults however is best suited for 2 adults if you want to cruise further out. With two sitting plateaus, there is enough basic comfort, however, be prepared to get a bit wet as it’s an adventurous water experience.

These colorful wooden boats are typically equipped with relatively loud machines, a wooden deck in the middle covered with a shade, and a sun-covered point deck at the front. These boats are the perfect way to adventure the waters of Karimunjawa with basic comfort and for an affordable price. These boats are basically a second home for their captain and it’s not surprising that they are basically able to cruise you around without looking. The size of the boat varies, however besides that most of the boats are pretty much the same.

A few years ago people in Karimunjawa started to renovate these classic fisher boats into a more upgraded and comfortable version: 2 level fisher boat.
These boats are not only more comfortable but are also equipped for more people. Depending on the size the boat can hold up to 30 people. The seats downstairs, under the roof, are spacious and have enough room for bags and so on. Upon the roof is a great deck to sit on at the beginning of the day, or at the end when the sun is enjoyable. It’s also the perfect spot to jump of or to take pictures with the beautiful Karimunjawa panorama in the background.
