In our Teepee rooms (garden cabins), designed for two, no extra beds are allowed. Maximum occupancy is 2 adults + 1 free child.
The Panorama Studio is perfect for 2-4 people, featuring a king bed and two single beds (set up as sofas when booked for two guests). One extra bed is an option, allowing a maximum of 5 people (4 adults + 1 free child or 5 adults).
For the Residence rooms, each accommodates two people, but one extra bed is possible in both rooms. Maximum occupancy is 4 people (3 adults + 1 free child).
Extra beds beyond the standard room capacity are available for Rp 150,000 per night. Please contact us in cause you want to book the extra bed.

One extra kiddo (under 12) can bunk in for free in each room, no separate bed or breakfast included. If you want an extra breakfast for the little one, it’s Rp 30,000 extra per night.
If you’re keen on getting an extra bed for your child, it’ll be the regular price, provided your booked room allows for it. Please contact us in cause you want to add an extra child to your booking.

You’re welcome to book an extra bed in the Panorama Studio or the Residence rooms. However, in our Teepee cabins, sorry, no extra beds. It’s not just about the limited space; we also want to ensure that having more than three people in the cabins (including children) doesn’t disturb guests in neighboring cabins. Karimunjawa Island is situated in the Java Sea, approximately 80 kilometers northwest of Jepara Regency in Central Java, Indonesia.

The archipelago of Karimunjawa consists of 27 islands in total. Karimunjawa Island itself is the largest and most developed island in the archipelago, but there are many smaller islands surrounding it, each with its own unique features and attractions.

Visitors can reach Karimunjawa Island by taking a ferry from Jepara on the mainland of Java. Currently there are no other ways to reach Karimunjawa besides renting a private plan from Semarang airport.

As the boat company often adds more rides to the schedule or changes the schedule, we post the schedule directly on our Instagram highlight. Please make sure to check the schedule in the beginning of the month, in the month that you booked. To ensure, you have the right schedule.
The boat almost always leaves in the morning. Keep this is in mind when booking your trip to Karimunjawa.

We have a ticket service for our guest, for both the fast boat and ferry. You can book this via the service page at your guest access or book with us via WhatsApp. If you prefer to organise it yourself, then you can check the Bahari Express and Siginjai websites.

Yes, this is possible. The price for this is Rp. 50.000 for a car for a max. of 4 people. The driver will be in the harbour waiting for you with a name sign. You can book this via the service page at your guest access or book with us via WhatsApp.

Yes, there is automatic motorbikes, cars and bicycle rental available on the island. At our lodge, but also on other places on the island. Riding a bicycle might be hard for most people due to the hilly landscape and hot climate. Car rental is available but more expensive and also more challenging for most people. Motorbike rental therefore is the most popular way to get around on the island.

We rent out motorbikes for Rp. 75.000/day. Available from the lodge or straight from the harbour. Safes you some money on the harbour transfer.

Motorbike rental is a popular choice for transportation in Karimunjawa. If you’re not experienced, we’re happy to provide a brief lesson to see if it’s something you’d like to try. Other options include walking (especially if you’re heading to town), using motorbike taxis, or opting for regular taxis. Please note that regular taxis can be pricey in Karimunjawa, and unfortunately, we don’t have Grab or Gojek services available here.
Practical information

There is one ATM from BRI bank on Karimunjawa. This ATM does not accept Visa and Maestro cards. Mastercard works however has a limit of Rp 1,000,000 at a time. Therefore it is recommended to bring enough cash or make sure you can pay your agency or accommodation by card.

Wi-Fi is available in al the accommodations, cafes and restaurants on the island. However, in the rain season or when it is very busy, the Wi-Fi can be slow from time to time.

There are several small grovery stores scattered across Karimunjawa island, offering necessities and snacks. However, for fruit, vegetables and other cooking ingredients you will have to go to the market.

There is a small health center and two pharmacies on Karimunjawa island to cater basic medical needs and needs focus on tropical living like snake bites or snorkelling injuries. However, for serious medical emergencies or specialised treatments, it may be better to travel to mainland Java.

It’s generally recommended to drink bottled or filtered water on Karimunjawa Island to avoid the risk of waterborne illnesses. Most accommodations provide bottled water for guests.

Our lodge offers a laundry service, however if you prefer to find a place yourself. Alternatively, you can find local laundry services in the main town area.
